# Licences & certifications

> Ham radio, drones, diving, flying: the exam, the paperwork, the fee, in the order to do them.

- [Get a DGCA drone Remote Pilot Certificate in India](https://for.do/p/dgca-drone-rpc-india/) — Train at a DGCA-authorised RPTO, pass its theory and flying assessment, and receive a 10-year Remote Pilot Certificate through the Digital Sky platform. (5–10 days of training)
- [Get an FAA Part 107 drone pilot certificate](https://for.do/p/faa-part-107-drone-us/) — Book the $175 Unmanned Aircraft General knowledge test at a PSI centre, pass 42 of 60, file FAA Form 8710-13 in IACRA, and fly commercially in the US. (2–4 weeks of study)
- [Get an Indian ham radio licence (ASOC)](https://for.do/p/ham-radio-asoc-india/) — Apply on Saral Sanchar, sit the Amateur Station Operator Certificate exam at your WPC regional office, clear the security check, and pay for a 20-year or lifetime licence. (3–12 months end to end (the police/IB verification is the long pole))
- [Get a UK amateur radio licence (Foundation)](https://for.do/p/ham-radio-foundation-uk/) — Book the 26-question RSGB Foundation exam online, pass at 19/26, then claim a free lifetime licence and callsign from Ofcom — usually inside a month. (2–4 weeks of study)
- [Get a US ham radio licence (Technician)](https://for.do/p/ham-radio-technician-licence-us/) — Pass the 35-question Technician exam, pay the FCC's $35 fee, and hold a callsign within about two weeks — the whole path from zero to on the air. (2–4 weeks of study)
- [Get scuba certified (PADI Open Water Diver)](https://for.do/p/padi-open-water-diver/) — Finish PADI eLearning, five confined-water sessions and four open-water dives with a dive centre, and hold a lifetime certification to dive to 18 metres worldwide. (3–5 days intensive, or 2–4 weekends)
- [Get a private pilot licence (US, airplane)](https://for.do/p/private-pilot-licence-us/) — Medical or BasicMed, 40 flight hours under Part 61 (most people need 60–70), a 60-question knowledge test, then the oral exam and checkride with a designated examiner. (6–12 months at 2 lessons a week)
